Kujten was founded in Paris in 2012 by friends Carole Benaroya and Stéphanie Eriksson. The brand name is borrowed from the highest peak in Mongolia, the country of origin of the cashmere fibers, which the founders personally select on-site several times a year.

The brand stands for the combination of quality, color, and attention to detail, deliberately breaking with the classic, subdued image of traditional cashmere fashion.
