How I combine Denimist

The slouch and boyfriend cuts are deliberately relaxed. To prevent them from looking sloppy, you need structure on top: a shirt with clean lines, a blazer, a well-fitting knitted sweater. The principle is always the same – relaxed on the bottom, sharp on top.

The plaid shirts are more versatile than they look. Worn open over a plain top, they replace a light jacket; buttoned up and tucked into jeans, they immediately look neat.
