Fake shop warning: how to recognise the real ABOUT.ALEXA shop

In a nutshell

• Our only online shop is aboutalexa.de.
• The site aboutalexa.shop does not belong to ABOUT.ALEXA. We have reported it.
• If in doubt, call or email us before you order.

Fake shops now copy entire retailers: product photos, texts, logo and even the legal notice with our real address. That is why the old tip of checking the legal notice is no longer enough on its own. Here is how to recognise us for sure.

How do you recognise the real ABOUT.ALEXA shop?

• The address in your browser is aboutalexa.de. Not .shop, not .com, nothing added.
• Prices are in euros and match the prices in our Dortmund store.
• Shipping within Germany costs €7.95 and is free from €200. To the EU it costs €20 and is free from €300.
• You can reach us by phone on +49 176 31156948, Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm, or by email at store@aboutalexa.de.
• Our store is at Brauhausstraße 3-5, 44137 Dortmund. You are welcome to drop by.

Typical warning signs

• Prices in dollars, or discounts of 60 to 70 percent on the whole collection.
• A domain that looks almost like ours, for example ending in .shop.
• Payment in advance only, or unusual payment methods.
• No real reply to calls or emails.

You ordered from aboutalexa.shop?

Then the order did not reach us, and unfortunately we cannot deliver it. Contact your bank or payment provider as soon as possible and ask for a chargeback. Report it to the police. And do let us know, so we can add it to our report to the providers.
