How to style pinstriped trousers: 4 looks from the store
Pinstriped trousers look like a suit, but they haven't been limited to the office for a long time. We currently have a dark brown two-piece from ROSSI in our store that shows how relaxed the pattern can look. Here are four ways to style it, along with matching shoes and a few care tips.
What is a pinstripe trouser?
Pinstripe refers to very fine, parallel lines on a darker background. The stripes are so narrow that they almost disappear from a distance and only show their structure up close. These are distinct from chalk stripes, where the lines are wider and softer.
Classic pinstripes are navy, grey, or black. Brown is the softer version and is easier to combine with everyday pieces.
The two-piece from the store: ROSSI Siyan and Noa Crop
Both pieces are made of wool-blend flannel. The ROSSI Siyan shirt has a loose cut, a rounded hem that is longer at the back than at the front, side slits, and a box pleat at the back.
The ROSSI Noa Crop trousers have a high waist, an adjustable waistband, pleats, and a rounded, cropped leg. The material consists of 39% wool, 33% polyester, 14% viscose, 13% polyamide, and 1% elastane.
Four looks with pinstripe trousers
1. As a two-piece
A shirt and trousers together are the quickest solution for the morning: put on two pieces and you're done. Because the pattern and color are the same, the look appears well-thought-out without needing any consideration. Wearing the shirt open over a white tee takes the formality out of the set.
2. With a t-shirt or long-sleeve
For a calm tone-on-tone look, brown goes with brown, such as the Halfboy shirt in chocolate brown or the Thom/Krom long-sleeve in night brown. If you want more contrast, choose white: the Róhe long-sleeve in optic white or the Teurn Studios classic tee. Tuck the shirt loosely into the high waistband so the pleats remain visible.
3. With knitwear
Flannel and knitwear go well together because both have a soft texture. The Ulla Johnson Adette pullover in wenge stays in the same color family, while the Marant Étoile Romera pullover in ecru and bronze adds brightness to the upper body. A short sweater shows off the high waist; a longer one can be tucked in slightly at the front.
4. The shirt with jeans

Which shoes to wear with cropped pinstripe trousers?
The cropped leg of the Noa Crop shows the ankle, which is why the shoes are part of the look. Keep it flat and casual with the INUIKII Classic Micro in beige. For something more elegant, try the GANNI Sue Mule in black with a small heel.
Care
The Siyan shirt can be machine washed at 30°C. The Noa Crop trousers are designed for hand washing. Wool-blend flannel rarely needs washing; often, airing out the garments after wearing is enough.
